Ethos
Colville Primary School inspires children through engaging and challenging learning within a happy school.
Values
There are three key values that are central to our ethos at Colville:
-
Respect
-
Aspiration
-
Perseverance
Values are principles that guide behaviour. We believe that a strong moral code empowers children to be effective learners and good citizens.
In our assemblies, we address current topics as well as recognise some international days and weeks observed by the United Nations. We do this to promote awareness of issues that are related to children and society. We also celebrate and mark achievements.
We also reference the British Values of
- Democracy
- The rule of law
- Individual liberty
- Mutual respect
- Tolerance and acceptance of those of different faiths and beliefs
